Is there a mandatory dress code for the Vatican tour?

Yes, a very strict dress code is enforced for both men and women. All visitors must have their shoulders and knees completely covered to enter the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Entry may be refused for anyone wearing shorts, miniskirts, or sleeveless tops. We strongly recommend dressing modestly to ensure you are not denied entry on the day.

What does the "Skip the Line" ticket actually let me bypass?

Our "Skip the Line" access allows you to bypass the main ticket-purchasing line, which can often stretch for several hours, saving you a significant amount of your valuable time. Please note, however, that all visitors must pass through a mandatory airport-style security check. There may be a short queue for this security screening, which cannot be skipped.

Can I bring a backpack or a large bag inside the museums?

Small backpacks and standard handbags are generally permitted inside after the security check. However, large bags, luggage, tripods, large umbrellas, and other bulky items are not allowed and must be checked. You will be required to leave these items at the complimentary cloakroom near the entrance before your tour begins and collect them upon exiting the museum complex.

Is photography allowed inside the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel?

Photography without the use of a flash is permitted throughout most areas of the Vatican Museums for your personal use. However, please be aware that photography and video recording of any kind are strictly forbidden inside the Sistine Chapel. This rule is rigorously enforced by the guards to protect the delicate frescoes, and we ask all guests to respect it.

Day 01 :

Kampala – Jinja – Mbale – Sipi Falls

Your Ruku Safaris guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.

Begin your journey towards eastern Uganda, passing through Jinja, Uganda's adventure capital. Continue towards Mbale and then travel into the beautiful Mount Elgon region.

Along the way, enjoy views of rural Uganda, sugarcane plantations, villages and agricultural communities.

Arrive in the Sipi Falls area in the afternoon. After checking into your lodge, enjoy a short nature walk around the area and take in the spectacular views over the surrounding plains.

If time allows, enjoy sunset views of the waterfalls.

Day 02 :

Sipi Falls Hiking – Caves & Waterfalls

After breakfast, begin your guided Sipi Falls hiking adventure.
The Sipi area is famous for its three impressive waterfalls. Follow local trails through farms and communities as you explore the waterfalls from different viewpoints.
During the hike, you will have opportunities to:
Explore the main Sipi waterfalls
Discover caves and rock formations
Walk through local farms
Observe birds and butterflies
Enjoy panoramic views across eastern Uganda
Interact with local communities
The hike can be adjusted according to your fitness level.
After lunch, continue with a nature walk around the lower slopes of Mount Elgon or relax at your lodge.
In the evening, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere around Sipi Falls.

Day 03 :

Mount Elgon Nature Walk – Coffee & Cultural Experience

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading out for a guided Mount Elgon nature experience.Explore the lower slopes of Mount Elgon, where the landscape changes from farmland to forest and montane vegetation.Look out for:

After the nature walk, enjoy an authentic Bagisu Arabica coffee experience.A local farmer will introduce you to the traditional process of growing and processing coffee. Day 04 :

Sipi Falls – Mount Elgon – Jinja – Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, enjoy a final short walk around the Sipi area before beginning your return journey.

Drive towards Jinja, where you can enjoy a short stop or optional visit to the Source of the Nile, depending on your departure schedule.

Continue towards Kampala or Entebbe through Uganda's scenic countryside.

Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the afternoon/evening and transfer to your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your onward journey.
