Are there any bag restrictions for visiting Pearl Harbor?

Yes, security at Pearl Harbor is extremely strict, and no bags are permitted at the memorial sites. This includes backpacks, purses, camera bags, and any other item that offers concealment. You may only carry your phone, camera, and wallet. Secure storage lockers are available to rent at the visitor center entrance for a small fee to store your belongings.

How difficult is the hike up to the Diamond Head summit?

The hike is considered moderate. While the trail is mostly paved, it is uneven in some places and includes a steep final section with 99 stairs. The round-trip hike is 1.6 miles and takes about 90 minutes. The panoramic view from the top is incredible, but we do recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and being prepared for a workout.

Is lunch provided on this all-day tour around the island?

Lunch is not included in the tour price. However, we will make a dedicated stop during the day at a location that offers a variety of local food options, allowing you to purchase the lunch of your choice. This provides you with the flexibility to choose what you would like to eat, from local plate lunches to sandwiches, at your own expense.

How much time will we get to spend at Pearl Harbor?

We typically spend approximately two to three hours at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial. This allows sufficient time to explore the museums and exhibits at the visitor center and to complete the moving USS Arizona Memorial program. This timing ensures we can also visit the other key sights on our full-day itinerary without you feeling rushed at any point.

Día 01:

Kampala/Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe. Drive northwards towards Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest national park.

Enjoy the scenic journey through Uganda's countryside, with a lunch stop along the way.

Continue towards the park and visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge before plunging downstream.

Enjoy spectacular views of the falls before proceeding to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 02 :

Murchison Falls – Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Wake up early for breakfast before heading into the northern sector of the park for a morning game drive.

Search for elephants, buffaloes, Rothschild's giraffes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs and other wildlife. With luck, you may also encounter lions, leopards and hyenas.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. The riverbanks are home to large numbers of hippos and crocodiles, while elephants, buffaloes and numerous bird species can also be seen.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03 :

Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a final short game drive as you leave Murchison Falls National Park.

Continue southwards towards Kibale Forest National Park, passing through Uganda's countryside, villages, agricultural communities and tea-growing areas.

Have lunch en route before continuing to Kibale.

Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and relax in preparation for the following day's chimpanzee trek.

Day 04 :

Chimpanzee Trekking – Kibale Forest

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your chimpanzee trekking experience.

Kibale Forest is one of Uganda's premier destinations for chimpanzee encounters. During the trek, you may also encounter other primates such as red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and grey-cheeked mangabeys.

Once the chimpanzees are located, enjoy time observing their behaviour and interactions in the forest.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, take an optional Bigodi Wetland Community Walk, offering opportunities to see additional primates, birds and local community activities.

Day 05 :

Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, depart Kibale for Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The journey takes you through beautiful landscapes and traditional communities before reaching the park.

After lunch, enjoy an afternoon or evening game drive depending on your arrival time.

Queen Elizabeth National Park offers opportunities to see elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs and various other wildlife. The Kasenyi Plains are particularly popular for wildlife viewing.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 06 :

Queen Elizabeth – Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Cruise

Wake up early for breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive.

Explore the park's savannah plains in search of wildlife. With luck, you may encounter lions and other predators as well as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs and antelopes.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward.

The cruise offers excellent views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and a wide variety of water birds along the channel.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 07 :

Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kampala/Entebbe

Enjoy an early breakfast before beginning your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.

Depending on your departure schedule, you may have a final short game drive or stop at scenic viewpoints along the way.

Have lunch en route before continuing to Kampala or Entebbe.

Your safari ends with drop-off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport.
